Gabriel, who is popularly known as the Poetic Angel, told NewsDay yesterday that the pictures merely reflected character-playing, which was part of the build up to the show.

“People should not mistake our pictures for a relationship as we were in character at that point of the photo shoot and we will be again on the night,” she said. The duo’s combination has sparked a lot of interest in the show which is scheduled for Gava Restaurant in Harare.

In an interview with NewsDay, Gabriel said the event was not exclusive to her and Kuzhangaira, but an open platform for partners to express their chemistry for each other in a romantic dinner setting.

“This night is not solely based on my piece with him (Bhutisi), but it is about couples and they will get a chance to present the messages they bring for their loved ones in form of poetry or songs and other ways possible.

“Couples should actually come with something prepared to make the event more interesting,” said Gabriel.

She added that the night was a means of augmenting love beyond the confines of a home for couples“It has always been the norm for couples to take each other out, but we are trying to bring in a new concept that will spice up their relationships,” she said.

Mbira and acoustic fusion band, No Name, will be the opening act of the night before the Poetic Angel and Bhutisi present their piece.
