The potentially explosive encounter between hosts Prince Edward and St John’s College is expected to bring the curtain down on the six-day rugby fiesta which kicked off at the same venue on Monday.

Prince Edward were in top form on the fourth day of the tournament on Thursday as they comfortably beat rivals Churchill, but would be wary of the threat posed by the unbeaten St John’s College Rams.

In the other big game, Falcon College, who are yet to taste defeat, tackle Peterhouse, who thumped Midlands Christian College (MCC) 40-0 in their first match on Thursday after withdrawing from their first match.

Churchill will be hoping to finally register their first win at this year’s rugby fiesta when they clash with St George‘s College in the day’s penultimate match.

The Geoff Madhake-coached Bulldogs, as Churchill are affectionately known, lost 21-7 to Falcon College in their first match before going down 24-7 to Prince Edward on Thursday and will be eager to finish the festival on a high.

The clash between unbeaten Kyle College and Lomagundi is another affair that holds plenty of promise, given that both won their opening two matches while MCC take on Eaglesvale in a contest between two of Zimbabwean schoolboy rugby’s emerging teams.

Another clash to look forward to sees Hillcrest College face off against Watershed while the balance of the fixtures sees Allan Wilson take on Christian Brothers College, Hellenic Academy meet Plumtree and Milton come up v Mutare Boys High.
