Breaking: Dynamos fails to pitch up for the Uhuru match

Dynamos defied Zifa and opted to conduct training on a day they were supposed to play FC Platinum in a Uhuru cup trophy final replay at Rufaro.FC Platinum traveled 364km to Harare to find a deserted match venue.

The match has since been called off.

A source said Platinum proceeded to Gwanzura where they were set to play the national team that is camping for the Cosafa tournament.

The Uhuru Cup match has been set for Rufaro Stadium on Wednesday after the initial game on April 18 was called off after 64 minutes due to a power failure with Dynamos leading 1-0.Dynamos want the remaining 26 minutes to be played while Zifa says the game starts at 0-0 and fans have to pay.

Further Dynamos played this year’s final under protest as they said they have not been paid for losing to Platinum last year.In 2014, Platinum were due to get $15 000 for winning the final while Dynamos were entitled $10 000 while this year’s winners were due to receive $10 000 and the losers $5000.

  1. ZIFA does not seem to know the rules of the game. I remember a game which was played for 17 or 11 minutes because it was abandoned due to bad lighting with 17 minutes remaining so why try to punish Dembare, don’t use chiZanupf nepachisingafanirwi kushandiswa. This is the problem if a bunch of idiots gather and say they are soccer administrators when they don’t have an iota of what soccer is in their brains.
