Although his injury was not much highlighted, the prolific striker was pulled out eight minutes after the break and replaced by Dino Ndlovu. He broke the news on his Facebook page on Monday night while detained at Linksfield Hospital in Johannesburg.

“I had three injuries occurring at the same time — twisted ankle, knee and head injury. It was bad that I had loss of memory. My Glasgow coma scale was 14/15, oedema on my left knee and ankle. So I’ll be off social network and not allowed to watch TV nor use of cellphone for the next 14 days,” Ndoro said.

His injury might leave Warriors coach Kalisto Pasuwa with a headache as he tries to put together a team for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers starting in June.

The former Chicken Inn striker will miss AmaZayoni’s home match against Chippa United tonight and their last match against Free State Stars away on Saturday as they fight the imminent chop from the Absa top flight.

Mpumalanga are on position 12 with 32 points from 28 games, and if they lose their last two matches and Platinum Stars, Chippa and Moroka Swallows win their remaining two, AmaZayoni risk featuring in the play-offs to secure a stay in South African top league.
