DYNAMOS coach David Mandigora, stung by the 3-0 home humiliation by Castle Premiership league leaders Chicken Inn on Sunday, believes his charges can regroup quickly ahead of Thursday’s away trip to Hwahwa.

That defeat deflated Dynamos’ title hopes and as they lick their wounds, pondering over the consequences of the embarrassing home defeat and the right path for the future. Mandigora will have to summon his experience to manage a team depressed with this kind of defeat.
“I think we tried our best. We can’t say we played well yet we lost 3-nil. We created chances, but failed to score. Their goalkeeper had a good game. We threw everything at him and he saved. We give credit to Chicken Inn. We now have to look ahead,” Mandigora said in his post-match interview.
The defending champions have ruled domestic football with an iron fist since the turn of the millennium — winning four successive championships in the process under the guidance of Kalisto Pasuwa.
While it is a fact they have stumbled on their way to the Promised Land against so many teams, including minnows, they have hardly suffered defeat in such embarrassing fashion.
The loss to Joey Antipas’ Chicken Inn was their heaviest and most humiliating since they were clobbered 5-0 by Motor Action in 2005.
After dominating the entire first half in which they attacked in waves only to be denied by goalkeeper Elvis Chipezeze with several classy stops, Dynamos, third on the league table behind their opponents, appeared on course to register a comfortable victory that would take them back to the top of the league table.

But that good run came to a sudden halt at the stroke of the first half with former FC Platinum striker Mitchelle Katsvairo grabbing the opener with a super header from a Clemence Matawu corner kick.
Edmore Chirambadare, signed from Tsholotsho at the start of the year, added the second on 54 minutes with a rising shot from outside the penalty area before sewing up the victory with his second goal from the spot in the referee’s optional time.
