Jamaican reggae star Luciano who is in Harare for the Pacific Sunsplash tonight will be flown into the show venue, NewsDay can reveal.

The star will be flown for a mini scenic flight above a few high density suburbs before he lands at 6pm at the venue.

According to Lloyd Kakunguwo, Swiss Jet Aviation marketing manager, Luciano will fly from Charles Prince Airport to the venue.

“We are just coming in to spice up the event with a grand entrance as we introduce a new facility that we are rolling out for the public and celebrities, the showbiz industry as well as Zimbabwean tourism,” said Kakunguwo.

“Whenever artistes tour Zimbabwe they rarely get the chance to get an appreciation of the area within which they are and a scenic flight is one facility we are introducing so that when the artiste returns they really know what Zimbabwe is about.”

He said they would only fly him over a few ghetto suburbs to make sure there would still be day light so that the public can still see as well as to avoid flying over restricted areas.

The show organised by Chipaz Promotions in collaboration with Savanna Tobacco will serve as the introduction of Savanna’s Pacific Brand Ambassadors namely Sulumani Chimbetu, Jah Prayzah, Tocky vibes and Martin Sibanda of Ndolwane Super Sounds to the country.
