Talented award-winning songbird, Cindy Munyavi has upgraded her accolades after receiving yet another one from the women’s Heritage Society World Organisation (WHSWO) for Top Outstanding Woman in Music, Arts and Entertainment.

Talented award-winning songbird, Cindy Munyavi has upgraded her accolades after receiving yet another one from the women’s Heritage Society World Organisation (WHSWO) for Top Outstanding Woman in Music, Arts and Entertainment. By Tinashe Sibanda

Her award was one among 20 outstanding Women in Zimbabwe from various fields that included ZiFM presenter Ruvheneko Parirenyatwa, Rebecca Chisamba, a talk show personality, Primose Kurasha ,Vice-Chancellor of Zimbabwe Open University, Standards Association of Zimbabwe (SAZ) director-general Eve Gadzikwa, just to mention but a few.

“I am honoured to be receiving such an award. In fact, I am overwhelmed to be one of the top 20 outstanding women in a country with millions of brilliant women. This is an honour that I cannot express well in words,” said an elated Munyavi.

Munyavi has to date won a total of three awards namely; All-Africa Music Award in the Best Female Artiste in the Southern Africa category, Young Business Woman of the Year Award in the Zimbabwe Business Awards for Excellence in Fashion Business and Music, and the recent award for Outstanding Woman in Music, Arts and Entertainment during the 2014- 2015 season.

“I am grateful to my parents and family who have been supportive, as well as my manager, Elton Bryce. I will not forget my friends, including those I have also worked with and fans that have made sure I remain afloat,” she said.
