YOUNG gospel artiste Tatenda Mahachi on Tuesday night launched his fourth album titled Declaration at Reps Theatre in Harare.
The launch was supported by jazz diva Prudence Katomeni-Mbofana who collaborated with Mahachi on one of his songs titled Ndibvumbamirei which they performed together at the event, leaving many in a worshiping mood and crying for more.
Fellow gospel artiste Sabastian Magacha commended Mahachi for the dedication he displayed prior to the launch and advised him to always talk positively about himself.
Magacha, who also features on one of the songs titled Tichamuona, gave a polished act in preparation for Mahachi’s main performance. Life and Liberty Ministries founder Bishop Noah Pashapa who spoke at the launch said: “Tatenda is a skilled young man with the passion and gift to perform gospel music. He is in music because he believes in the gospel.
“Believing in the gospel of Christ makes one live a quality kind of life different from others.” Bishop Pashapa blessed the occasion with a powerful prayer.
Mahachi, who comes from Karoi, said: “My aim is to preach and win many souls to Christ through music; I will never give up till I achieve it. I want people to declare positive things into their lives and allow God to see them through.”
Mahachi, who recorded his first album in 2007 titled Miyedzo Kure in 2010, Agare in 2013 and now Declaration, encouraged Zimbabweans to take gospel music more seriously.
