UK-based PraiseWorth Records is responsible for Calvin and Muzi productions, marketing and distribution; while Bryce Nation Worldwide handles Trey XL musical affairs.

Bryce Nation Worldwide is a Zimbabwe record label headed by young entrepreneur, Elton Bryce who engaged the two camps to revamp this all-time favorite.

“We were looking to work with Zimbabwe based artists to give Tombofara a new twist and Elton got in touch with us just at the right time and based on their track record we were pretty sure that they would deliver, and deliver they did on the R&B rap version featuring Trey XL,” said Gudu.

He said that they were very happy with the end result; and after listening to the track several times it was evident that Trey XL went into his verses insanely blazing yet seductively smooth throughout the track to match the pristine and emotive Calvin and Muzi vocal delivery.

Gudu said the “lady killer” lyrical content written by Trey XL himself was so on-point as though composed at its conception.

Trey XL who predominantly raps in English with a few Shona lyrics intimates his readiness to take on the big heavies in the rap game.

On this track Trey oozes with charm and charisma in keeping with the original duo’s appeal back in 1996. The track was gracefully and tactfully laced by Ahsayn a.k.a The Beat Maker, and Bryce Nation CEO, Elton Bryce. The beat is unmistakably a 2015 slick offering yet it borrows some yester synths from the 1980s, making it a refreshing mix.

The Duo (Ahsayn and Elton) also produced an R&B remix that promises remain on iPods for a long time. The Trey XL remix represents a sixth of the forthcoming EP to be jointly released by Praise Worth Records and Bryce Nation Worldwide with Bryce Nation Worldwide taking marketing and distributing the record in Africa whilst Praise Worth Records does the same in Europe.

The EP will also be released on iTunes, Amazon, Google play amongst other online platforms. “We are ready and arrived on the scene now.

“We really mean “Worldwide” as the name says. We want to trade in music internationally,” Bryce said.
