The six track debut album Josepha Muroti (Joseph the dreamer) is set to hit the streets early next month. In an interview with NewsDay from her South African base, Chipfuwa said she was overjoyed that the six track album will be hitting the streets to mark the beginning of a long musical journey into the local industry. “I am very delighted that I have finished working on my first album, and I believe after having taken long to release the album it now gives me confident to work on more albums,” Chipfuwa said.

“I am looking beyond using music as the only way to reach my targeted audiences hence I will be using other mediums of arts such as drama,” said the gospel diva.

The gospel diva paid tribute to her husband for his undivided support in identifying her unexploited talent. “Had it not been for my husband and Pastor Chidota I could have not made it in fulfilling one of my childhood dreams, the two have been supportive,” she said.

“From the onset when I started composing up to the recording of the album,” said the 24 year old musician. She said the reason behind the title Josepha Muroti was to urge people not to rely on other people but to put their trust in God for every situation they find themselves in.

The biblical Joseph was sold as a slave to Pharoah but went on defy odds as he was later appointed special advisor to Pharoah.

“The title track and the name of the album teach talks about people not despising each other when rejected by relatives or other people but to only put their trust in God,” added the gospel diva.
