FORMER Zanu PF secretary for administration Didymus Mutasa and his nephew former Zanu-PF Mashonaland West Provincial chairperson Temba Mliswa, yesterday witnessed their romance with Zanu-PF go up in smoke

FORMER Zanu PF secretary for administration Didymus Mutasa and his nephew former Zanu-PF Mashonaland West Provincial chairperson Temba Mliswa, yesterday witnessed their romance with Zanu-PF go up in smoke after their application seeking to challenge their expulsion from parliament, was dismissed by the Constitutional Court (ConCourt).

Mutasa and Mliswa were expelled from the august last month following their fallout with their party’s bigwigs after being accused of working against the principles of Zanu-PF.

Their expulsion prompted yesterday’s court hearing after the duo contested Zanu PF’s move arguing the Speaker of Parliament, advocate Jacob Mudenda, had no mandate to chuck them out of Parliament under whatever circumstances according to the country’s Constitution.

In a brief judgement however, Chief Justice Godfrey Chidyausiku, in concurrence with eight other ConCourt judges, said Mutasa and Mliswa’s court challenge lacked merit.
