He spent three years in Namibia and wants to join either Highlanders or Caps United when the mid-season transfer window opens on July 1. His brother and agent Samson Kabwe revealed the new development to NewsDay Sport yesterday.

“Protash Kabwe is not going to renew his contract at his Namibian side Tigers FC after spending almost three years at the club and his contract is set to expire in May (next month). They still want his services, but it is now time for him to come home,” he said.

“I think he still have a lot to offer in the local league as age is still on his side. Various clubs have already started to make inquiries but he said to me that he might make his first preference Highlanders or Caps United although we are not ruling out other clubs,” he said.

In 2011, Kabwe played for Motor Action after he was loaned at the side Highfields United before departing to Namibia.

His current club is lying second on 16-teams log standings of the Namibian Football League with 42 points, 10 adrift of log leaders Africa Stars as the country’s league is set to end next month.
