A local bank, CABS, yesterday confirmed its sponsorship to the Harare International Festival of the Arts (Hifa)’s 2015 edition running from April 28 to May 3. BY KENNEDY NYAVAYA
Speaking at a Press conference in the capital, the bank’s head of corporate and institutional banking Cecil Ndoro said CABS is engaging the festival in a move to boost the local arts sector as well as ploughing back to the community.
“We feel honoured to be able to contribute towards the development of the arts industry and our country as a whole.
“We are keen to give back to the community in which we operate and we are doing so by playing a significant role towards uplifting the standards of arts and livelihood of artistes in the country,” he said. As has become the norm, the bank will host an opera gala on the second day during the six-day-long annual fete.
