Nsoro (36) of Unit L in Seke was not asked to plead to the murder charge when she briefly appeared before Chitungwiza magistrate Lazarus Murendo yesterday.

The court remanded her in custody to March 13 for trial. Prosecutor Tendai Mukariri told the court that on February 26 this year, Nsoro saw “offensive” messages on her husband Petros Mutasa’s phone from his alleged girlfriend.

In a fit of rage, Nsoro stabbed Mutasa using three kitchen knives on the arm, chest and neck, killing him instantly.

Nsoro’s daughter, who was at the crime scene, reported the matter to the police and the three knives were recovered besides Mutasa’s body.
