Hellenic school on Friday held its Shona Cultural Day aimed at promoting Shona culture and its people. Hellenic is the ideal school where Zimbabwe meets Greece.

In this well supported event the pupils came dressed in African attire regardless of their colour, race or creed. The idea is to allow the children to walk away with more knowledge about Shona culture and its food, music and dance.

‘We at Hellenic appreciate that children learn best through play and what better way to learn than sing and dance in shona” said Siwele Chinake the school’s Shona ambassador whose role is to augment the teachers efforts in teaching shona at the school.
