Following the release of her first single of the year titled Bad A$$, musician and dancer Noreen Moria, real name Nokuthaba Makhwelo, says she is back to conquer the music scene with her latest single titled Lighter.

Moria, who is known for her raunchy dances and skimpy outfits, sees a bright future in her music career.

“Lighter is a song that talks of a brighter future ahead of me,” she told Standard Style.

“I believe I’m the light that will brighten my future in music and life in general.

“Every young Zimbabwean wishes to live a life with less or no problems and the song should inspire that the light in the tunnel is actually yourself.

“We should work hard even in the difficult economy and brighten up our future.”

Moria, who had been singing under the Whine Queens group, said she wants to take over as the queen of hip-hop.

“I have been working on some solo projects and I want to reign as the Queen of Hip-hop,” she said.

“There is a gap, and in Bulawayo, there is no one I can say is the queen. I am here for everything that they said I won’t get. I am here to conquer.”

Moria started dancing when she was in secondary school in Bulawayo’s Emganwini suburb, where she resides.
