DREAM Team Entertainment, a UK-based Zimbabwean entity has joined forces with the local music promoters to host a show dubbed Disturbing Gweru — MaBabie Anoita to be held in Gweru today.

Their debut show will feature an all-ladies line-up that will include Tendazvaitwa Chitimbe better known as Ninja Lipsy, Edlyne Mapuranga aka Jjuwela, Shalvin Chagwada aka Shelly and Brenda Bechani aka Lady Bee.

“I am very excited at the prospect of promoting local artistes and also being part of such an internationally recognised day by supporting female dancehall chanters,” Dream Team Entertainment founder, Kudzai Chipadza said.

Speaking from Coventry, United Kingdom, Chipadza said in an interview that he had in the past sponsored local artistes on trips to the United Kingdom and he felt Dream Team should now go back where it all started and support local artistes.

Born in Zvishavane, Chipadza went to school in Gweru hence the reason why the show means a lot to him.

“Dream Team’s target market is tertiary students whom we promise to give total entertainment at very affordable prices as well as keeping up with what they enjoy in their youthful years,” said Chipadza.

He added that Dream Team Entertainment would also wanted to see this genre grow and to make sure that the artists live up to their full potential. He added that local female chanters were very talented and deserved all support that is necessary to pursue their dreams.
