The 10 track-album which was recorded at Monolio Studios and produced by veteran prolific guitarists Clive Mono Mukundu will be launched at Brilliant Foods Restaurant, Belgravia in the capital this coming Saturday.

With many other leading gospel artistes among them Charles Charamba, Mathias Mhere and Blessing Shumba having recently released new work onto the market, Gomo was in hibernation and his fans had to endure the six-year drought.

Gomo’s last release was Amen Topona in 2009 and he was not even performing at live concerts for the past years.

The musician made waves on the local showbiz scene when he released eight-track album Nyasha Dzichatisvitsa with tracks like Moyo Unonyengera and Iye Woga.

Speaking to NewsDay Gomo, who leads Gospel Agape Deliverance Ministries said he was not feeling the heat as he was waiting for the Lord to sanction his album at the right time.

“A lot has been happening behind the scenes as I was restoring with God through prayers and listening to fellow artistes,” Gomo said.

Gomo said during his hibernation period, he has been working on songs that could make up two albums.

“When one does not release an album that does not mean that he is out of the groove, I only release something when I feel it is the right time,” he said.

The album which carries deep worship songs features Afro Jazz Musician Dereck Mpofu on song Ndaona Nyasha.

Songs on the album are Handidi Naye Jesu, Hatidzokere Takadaro, Tokutendai Jehovha, Icho neChocho, Ndaona Nyasha, Muripano Tokuzivai, Ramba Uchibaya, Vanangu, Makwara Evhangeri
