Zahara and Mafikizolo perform alongside Jah Prayzah, Winky D and Pah Chihera at the Harare International Conference Centre at a potential thriller after Mafikizolo’s explosive performance at the same venue in December.

Speaking to NewsDay, Jah Prayzah’s public relations manager Keen Mushapaidze said they are geared for the show.

“We are geared for the show and we challenge our South African visitors to match up to our act,” said Mushapaidze yesterday.

“Not to say they have disappointed the other times they have performed but we have been working hard to make sure that we put up a polished act. It will be an experience really because our team is raring to go and ready to conquer Africa.”

He said they are working on plans to widen their net with more performances in the region to make sure they market Zimbabwean music.

Show organiser Simba Madziwa of Simmad Promotions yesterday assured music lovers of a flawless outing.

“We are very happy with the progress so far. The tickets are selling well and if there are any left by tomorrow we have a smooth system that can allow the tickets to be sold on site,” said Madziwa.

“We have also increased our bars inside so that those that want to buy their beverages can do so smoothly. We have also arranged with the police to assist us with the controlling of traffic in the proximity of the Rainbow Towers Hotel to ensure that there is no congestion.”

Zahara’s and Mafikizolo’s travelling party is expected at the Harare International Airport at 1220pm today from where they head to the residence of the South African Ambassador to Zimbabwe where they are expected to have lunch.

The show is expected to be another full house after Mafikizolo’s gig in December that saw over 1000 revellers failing to access the venue due to oversubscription.

The reason for this in Zimbabwe has been that the general populace is not used to purchasing advance tickets due to unfulfilled promises by some promoters.
