The award-winning All Eyes On Me hit-maker is expected to live up to expectations as he has done in the past barely three weeks after fellow South African rapper Cassper Nyovest pulled off an epic show in the capital.

In an interview with NewsDay, Magma beverages sales executive manager Allan Doma said the event is going to be a sterling red carpet event with a great difference from the previous attempts by other organisers.

“We have decided to bring in AKA because he is a great artist and we believe he is going to pull a great crowd.

“This is also good for us as we are trying to market our own brand so we are making it a memorable international standard red carpet event,” he said.

Amid claims that Nyovest and AKA are bitter rivals, Doma denounced the perception that the show was made to counter the Nyovest show which was held last month.

“This show is being organised for our own benefit as well as his fans, we are not in any way interested in any of their squabbles as musicians if there is any,” he said.

He also added that they had decided to make it a great night for Hip-hop lovers with supporting acts like Junior Brown, Team Bhoo and Marques among other local hip hop artistes.

AKA took to social media confirming the show putting the advert poster online with his Facebook post on February 21 written: “I will be there to perform very soon.”

There are great expectations for the rapper recently scooped the Hip-hop best collaboration award at the 14th Annual Metro FM awards held in Durban, South Africa last Saturday to impress.
