Both Zakaria, popularly known Zaka Zaka in music circles, and Farai will be performing at the joint for the first time since its inception in December 2013.

Last week First Farai was quoted in the State media saying that he had given up on live shows because he was not benefiting from them, but it seems the burly musician has other thoughts as he is set to renew his romance with his legions of fans.

Daniel Masaiti, owner of The Legends Sports Bar, confirmed the gig.

“The two musicians will be in Marondera on Friday [today] and as part of their nationwide tour I am happy that they chose this venue as the most ideal. They command a huge following here and I hope there will be a huge turnout,” said Masaiti.

The duo are expected to be at their best after sungura ace Alick Macheso who last had a show at the venue gave a pulsating performance. Zaka Zaka, who had a stint with both Macheso and his brother Nicholas Zakaria, is an experienced musician who knows what is best for the fans.

The Chili Boys frontman who is still getting up to his feet as a solo musician has never disappointed in any of his shows. On the other hand, First Farai is a crowd puller whose songs Ngingongingo and Simba Razvo will be on the list come tomorrow night.

The Legends Sports Bar, located in the heart of Nyameni Township, about two kilometres from Marondera city centre, has become the hub of entertainment since December last year when it was opened and is now famed for hosting established musicians.
