Tanzania replaced Comoros, while Ghana also came in for former regional champions Angola, who could not make this year’s edition.

Should the Warriors sail through, they will meet Zambia in a repeat of the 2013 Cosafa Cup final that they lost 2-0 at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.

The draw, shown live on SuperSport 4 last night, was conducted by Warriors legend and now Mamelodi Sundowns team manager Peter Ndlovu, Mozambican legend Manuel “Tico Tico” Bucuane, and Bafana Bafana coach Shakes Mashaba.

Matches will be played at the Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace and Moruleng Stadium from May 17-31

Fourteen countries will participate, with the bottom-ranked eight countries according to Fifa’s February rankings divided into two groups whose winners will then join the top six-ranked countries in the quarter-finals, with games proceeding on a knockout basis from there onwards.
