The former Caps United striker has been in the football wilderness since returning to Mamelodi Sundowns from a loan stint at KV Oostende in Belgium last year.

According to the Swedish club’s official website, Mushekwi will be undergoing trials for the next few days.

“The 27-year-old striker will train with Djurgården for a few days. He comes from Zimbabwe, but his main merit is from the South African league where he plays for Mamelodi Sundowns,” the club revealed on their official website yesterday.

In an interview with the club’s official TV channel Mushekwi spoke of how he had to quickly adjust to the Swedish weather conditions adding that he was keen to start playing football again.

Mushekwi has been club hunting again after recovering from a lengthy injury during his spell with Belgium side KV Oostende. The giant striker had been linked with a move to Denmark, but the move fell through.
