AFTER a slow start to life in the South African Premiership, it appears Denver Mukamba is beginning to realise his potential.

The former Dynamos midfield magician scored yet again on Saturday to rescue a point for his University of Pretoria team in a 1-1 draw against Free State Stars.
With his side chasing the game after conceding early, Mukamba levelled matters on the stroke of halftime when he charged into the penalty area before finding the back of the net from an acute angle.
It was his second goal in as many games after scoring the winner in a 2-1 win over Chippa United on Tuesday last week.
The 22-year-old had endured a difficult start to life in the Premiership as he struggled for game time at Bidvest University who then loaned him out to University of Pretoria. Mukamba was substituted in injury time of the Saturday game while fellow countrymen Washington Arubi and Patson Jaure saw off the match with the later coming close in giving his side a winner only to be denied by the woodwork.
It turned out to be a rather fruitful weekend for most Warriors players abroad, with a number of them getting on to the score sheet for their respective clubs.
Mathew Rusike was also on target for Kaizer Chiefs who laboured to a 2-1 home win over Madinda Ndlovu’s Township Rollers in another Caf Champions League match at the FNB Stadium on Saturday night.

Often warming the bench for Chiefs, Rusike was named on the first eleven and he responded well with a well taken opener just six minutes into the match when he latched on to a Bernard Parker weighted pass to coolly beat the goalkeeper.
Khama Billiat spared Mamelodi Sundowns some blushes with a goal seven minutes from time against St Michel away in Seychelles in the Caf Champions League preliminary round first leg.

Reports yesterday suggested Mamelodi Sundowns are already circling in on the 22-year-old Mashumba, who has scored eight goals so far.
According to a football website Soccer Laduma, the striker has been identified as a possible target to add to Sundowns in their search for quality players with a view to assemble a stronger team for next season.
Carlington Nyadombo scored an own goal as his Amazulu side were humbled 3-0 by Bloemfontain Celtic, with Energy Murambadoro conceding the three goals for the Durban side.
In Europe, Knowledge Musona’s Belgian side KV Oostende finally remembered how to win when they recorded a 1-0 win away to Mouscron-Péruwelz with the Warriors man assisting in the goal.
Musona, who came in as a second half substitute, had not tasted victory in five games since his move to the Pro-League from the Germany Bundesliga in January.
