LOCAL joint Gabys Restaurant situated at Travel Plaza has embarked on a rebranding exercise.

The restaurant that used to be specifically for diners has introduced a vibrant live performances calendar that will see the venue host some of the top artistes among them contemporary musician Jah Prayzah, Sulu and Victor Kunonga in the next month going forward.

Gabys Restaurant situated at Josiah Chinamano and Mazowe Street the development is likely going to be welcomed by the normally entertainment starved Avenues area residents as well as those from the Northern suburbs who often find it difficult to cross Samora Machel Avenue looking for entertainment.

According to the proprietors of the joint, their gigs have been planned specifically to cater for the upmarket audience that often fails to get entertainment.

“People in the upmarket have a lot of fears that make them stay away from live gigs and we are trying to make it more comfortable with a smaller crowd, secure venue and parking in an environment that is family friendly,” said the spokesperson for the joint.

“We have in the past been concentrating on smaller family functions but now we want to explore this avenue and cater for a section of the market that has not been catered for in the past.”

The joint’s management said they want to expand their operations and continue doing their best in terms of customer service.

“Our task is to make sure our patrons have good day and night experiences in a fun and safe environment as we maintain our standards setting trends and exceed guest’s expectations,” he said.

“We are always incorporating new and exciting ideas to satisfy our patrons as we pay close attention to their demands, continue to provide outstanding service and encourage those who have yet to visit us to do so.”

He said patrons can make a reservation for any gatherings and function as well as customise the dishes according to their preferences.

“We have lined up a number of exciting concepts to make sure we remain on top of the game providing excellent services and quality entertainment,” he said.
