Dongo Sawmills FC have played three friendly matches in Rusape thus far, managing a confidence boosting goalless draw against Caps United before they suffered a 2-0 defeat against Flame Lily.

Club director Francis Dongo confirmed the upcoming match against Dynamos while adding that they had assembled a formidable side.

“We are going to play Dynamos this Saturday in a friendly match at Vengere Stadium. I think this is going to be our first big match after Caps United and we are expecting a big crowd since we also attracted impressive attendance in our last three friendly matches,” he said.

“We are not in the league to make numbers, but we are also aiming to provide that much-needed competition in the league. We have youngsters who are eager to make their name in the league and we are very confident that they are going to impress.”

The most notable player at the side is former 2008 top goal-scorer Evans Chikwaikwai and former Dynamos player Dylan Chiwandire who is also expected to make an impression upfront.

Dongo Sawmills head coach Shardreck Mugurasave went on a scouting mission in remote areas to tap talent and they look to have unearthed a raw gem in the mould of goalkeeper Tatenda Pfumojena from Eastern Region Division One league side Clearwater.

Other players who are set to ply their trade at the side are defenders Never Musvipa, Walter Mugiyo Dragon Shuvha, midfielders Tawanda Chiuya, Last Jese, Martin Jongwe, Shepherd Sithole and Martin Jongwe.
