At Long Cheng Plaza, one of the main Chinese-themed spots in Harare, several events are lined up at 1 + 1 Happy Night Club where South African Cassper Nyovest performs tomorrow.

Several other events are also lined up around the city with romance ruling the mood.

At Horizon Ivato Supermarket, Long Cheng Plaza shoppers are getting a free gift for every purchase upwards of $10 from today.

According to general manager Hanson Hu, the shop has thousands of unique presents to entice romantic shoppers.

Hu said: “We have many gifts to give everyone who buys anything from our supermarket. The more you spend of course, the bigger the gift.

“We also have Valentine’s Day products that have already been packaged at very affordable prices and packaging can also be done while you wait.”

The supermarket sits on thousands of square metres, making it the biggest in the country with products from all over the world.

Hu said their major draw card for this Valentine’s Day would be the several facilities at the plaza that include secure children’s play area as well as vast parking space.

Apart from the ambience provided by Horizon Ivato, Bar Rouge will host Jabavu Drive tonight at a show that the band will be expected to belt out a list of romantic jams from their catalogue. The Valentine’s Day treat will be supported by DJ Speed.

Radost Platinum situated at the same shopping complex, has taken the task of shutting down the lovers’ weekend with a show by David “HD” Hondoyedzomba on Sunday starting at 3pm.

HD will however start his weekend schedule with a show at Jameson Hotel’s Usual Place today.
