FOUR rogue bouncers posing as members of the dreaded Central Intelligence Organisation (CIO) last Friday manhandled NewsDay’s arts and entertainment reporter Winstone Antonio and attempted to seize his camera accusing him of shooting pictures of Alick Macheso’s ex-wife, Tafadzwa Mapako, without permission.

The incident happened during Sulumani Chimbetu’s show at Dandaro Inn, Harare, where Tafadzwa was among the revelers enjoying quality time.

“Why are you taking those photos? These guys are from the President’s Office. They are going to deal with you,” Tafadzwa raged summoning the bouncers, while pouring beer on the hapless journalist. Her bouncers pounced and threatened him with unspecified action should he publish pictures of the incident claiming they were from the President’s Office.

Antonio, however, escaped unhurt in the fracas after he was rescued by fellow journalists and Dandaro Inn proprietor, Partson Chimbodza, who whisked him to safety through the backdoor.

Tafadzwa is on record having claimed to be related to First Lady Grace Mugabe. Macheso once claimed that he was living in fear following their divorce after he allegedly received threatening phone calls from callers, who claimed to be CIO agents protecting Tafadzwa.

Macheso divorced Tafadzwa in an acrimonious court battle late last year.
