Although he had tried music earlier in 2011 without making a big impact, he is back again with a totally different style and feel in his recent album titled The Realm of Worship where he sticks to a more personal and deep selection of high worship tracks.

“Since 2011 I took time to discover myself and grow as an artiste with the mind of doing something that all kinds of people could relate to, thus my latest album,” he said.

Nkomo, who is a full-time musician, said he was indeed privileged to have been invited to perform with such an acclaimed local worshipper as Mahendere who was his mentor and he was also grateful for other advisers that had encouraged him like Pastor Charles Charamba and Pastor Lawrence Gunda of Gospel Power.

He said his latest 10-track album is made up of songs that could help one to overcome any kind of challenge and also draw people closer to God through prayer and worship as well as developing personal relationships with the Creator.

“I am so honoured that my mentor acknowledges my talent and that alone means a lot to me. He has even invited me to perform with him at some of his concerts that are in the pipeline,” said Nkomo.

Nkomo revealed that the best thing to ever happen to him throughout his career was to be officially presented to the people by his mentor which was a gift and blessing that he will forever appreciate and honour.

He added that performing with Mahendere definitely took him outside his “box”, thus the release of his current album.

“I have also been invited to perform in Sandton, South Africa, at the UFIC [United Family International Church] in the coming days and I’m so excited that people outside of Zimbabwe were happy with my presentation,” he said.

Nkomo also said that if it was not for Pastor Tasara Keta and his wife from the UFIC, Kwekwe, he would never have been the person that he is today concerning sticking to his career and goals.

He added that the church founder Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa together with his wife Prophetess Ruth Makandiwa had so much to do with the depth of his message through their various teachings.

The album has tracks like Who Am I, Draw Me Closer, Jesu Makanaka, Africa Give Praise, Hossana and You Carried Me, among others.
