Harare magistrate Milton Serima confirmed the trial date yesterday. The State alleges that on December 17 last year, the pair and their accomplices- still at large- indecently exposed the woman and labelled her a prostitute as she passed through the commuter omnibus rank on her way to Ruwa.

A video footage of the incident, which has since been tendered as court evidence, shows the woman making several attempts to cover herself up as the rowdy touts kept jeering and undressing her.

Chinodakufa and Kandemiri were arrested after the leaked video footage capturing the drama went viral on social media networks. In the video, the woman was taunted and physically abused by several men with others pulling down her undergarments.

The complainant later filed an indecent assault report, leading to the pair’s arrest.
