HICC: SOUTH Africa’s award-winning Afro-pop group Mafikizolo reignites their romance with their Zimbabwean fans tonight at the Harare International Conference Centre. The concert dubbed Harare Lockdown Show will see Mafikizolo sharing the stage with superstar Oliver Mtukudzi, dancehall chanter Tocky Vybes and Alexio Kawara.

Book Café Local Afro-fusion group Mokoomba will tomorrow stage their last gig of the year at Book Café. This year the group staged 75 concerts in 15 countries, among them, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Mozambique, New Zealand, Norway, South Africa, Swaziland, Switzerland and the United Kingdom making them one of the most travelled outfits in Africa.

City Sports Centre

Winky D headlines the annual Zimdancehall Shutdown gig tonight at City Sports Centre featuring an array of artistes, among them, Soul Jah Love, Dadza D, Killer T, Kinnah, Lady Squanda, Bounty Lisa, Ricky Fire, Cello Culture and Dj Templeman, Garry B and DJ Cables.

Tonight Borrowdale Community Church hosts the Christian Hip Hop Achievement Awards. Hip-hop artiste Mudiwa, ILL Ceey and Mathias Mhere are billed to perform at the event.

Kariba Country Club

A bevy of 20 models from Harare and Kariba tomorrow take to the ramp in the resort town of Kariba at Kariba Country Club for the inaugural Face of Kariba 2015 pageant to be held under the theme Unveiling the Beauty of Kariba. According to pageant organisers proceeds from the event would be channelled towards funding the education of underprivileged children who are struggling to pay school fees.

Legends Sports Bar

It will be a dendera and jazz affair tomorrow night at Legends Sports Bar in Marondera as Sulumani Chimbetu supported by jazz sensation Jean Masters and Marondera-based reggae outfit House of Stone serenades revellers at the joint’s first anniversary celebrations.

Tomorrow, Mutare Motoring Club hosts Big Brother Hotshots Zimbabwe representative DJ Butterphly’s second welcome home party. Rocking it on the turntables will be DJ Touch Mwotoo, DJ Champion and Nyarie.

DJ Cables will be rocking it on the turntables tomorrow at Blue Bar located in Harare’s oldest suburb of Mbare supported by on-fire club resident DJ Stove, DJ B and DJ KB. There will be dancers also entertaining revellers.

Bulawayo

The Zimbabwe International Film and Festival Trust (ZIFFT) will host the final leg of ZIFF2014 in Bulawayo starting today to December 22. The festival has been established through a unique partnership with Priscilla Sithole Ncube’s Ibhayisikopo Film Project, and the City of Bulawayo. The four-day fiesta will include film workshops at different venues like Jason Moyo Street open air Street Cinema Theatre, Salukazi Arts Centre in Njube, Cowdray Park, Sokusile Hall in Nkulumane, and Stanley Square where screenings will be held in partnership with Ibumba International Festival.
