The young musician is probably ruing the day he accepted to play this December as he has fallen out of favour with many music followers that feel cheated due to his sub-standard stage sets.

His is a story of rags-to-riches and rags-yet-again as it had been a consensus that he was the best finding of Zimbabwean music in 2014, but that was all erased on the night of December 19 at the Harare International Conference Centre.

He has appeared to be in a hurry to lose all he had won throughout the year.

Organisers of the Kadoma show that will see him perform alongside one of the stage performers on the dancehall scene, Soul Jah Love, say they are confident that Tocky will deliver.

“This has only happened in December. All year round, people were grooving to Tocky’s music. I am positive the publicity he has been getting of late has actually made him a better artiste,” Dee Nosh, one of the organisers of the gig, said.

He said this was probably going to be the best gig of the year for the Kadoma folk as it brought two of the best artistes to have come out of Zimbabwe in recent years.

While it may not be an issue that Soul Jah Love is on the same line up and is likely to cause an upset, it is certainly going to be a pulsating performance that should have revellers dancing into the New Year as the two main acts have got the support of hit tracks on their respective discographies.

Other artistes to perform at the show are Mighty Fire, Nicky Spy, Ghetto Soja, Junior and Terranto Vybz, while Dee Nosh leads DJs Tonny, Knox and Zola on the turn-tables.
