Katsande’s injury to be examined today

KAIZER Chiefs midfielder Willard Katsande will have a scan today to determine the full extent of his injury.

The Zimbabwean had to be substituted midway through the first half with an injury and was replaced by Ivan Mukwenya in the side’s 1-0 win over Chippa United.

And the club have confirmed via their Twitter account that Katsande got injured around the abdominal area and will have scan tomorrow.

While the extent of the injury is not yet known, Soccer Laduma claims sources revealed he is unlikely to take part in any action again this year.

Meanwhile, Khama Billiat’s second half goal helped Mamelodi Sundowns claim a 1-1 draw with the University of Pretoria in a South African Premiership clash at the Tuks Stadium.

After having gone down 1-0 in the first half, Sundowns levelled matters four minutes after the halftime break, as Cuthbert Malajila teed up Khama Billiat for the easiest of tap-ins.

The draw ensured Sundowns remained unbeaten in 11 league matches, whilst Billiat’s goal-scoring form continues with the fourth consecutive goal in as many matches.

Zimbabwean Washington Arubi was in goals for the Tuks, while former Dynamos midfielder Denver came in as a second half substitute for the Tuks in the match.

In another match, a brace from Tendai Ndoro saw Mpumalanga Black Aces come back from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Free State Stars.
