Chipfumo was travelling in his BMW 3 Series from Marondera where he performed at an event to mark the 1st anniversary of Legends Sports Dinner.

The venue opened its doors to the public last year rekindling the night life of the town following the closure of Marondera Hotel.

Patrons who spoke to NewsDay hailed the proprietors for bringing life to Marondera as the Mashonaland East capital had been yearning for indoor entertainment for a long time.

Venue owner Daniel Masaiti said he was it has not been easy road for him since he was new to the business.

“It has not been all rosy for me to be in this entertainment business since it was my first time so we had to put in a lot of hard work,” said Masaiti.
