Sungano Clement Mukubika(31) and his co-accused Musango Mashongwa and Godfrey Manhenga, both from Zengeza 5 were not asked to plead when they appeared before Chitungwiza resident magistrate Donald Ndirowei last Saturday.

The trio was remanded in custody to December 12 and advised to seek bail at the High Court.

It is the State’s case that on November 28 this year at Unit L shopping centre, the unidentified deceased person asked for a cigarette and some money from Mukubika.

A misunderstanding arose and the now deceased took to the heels with the suspects in hot pursuit. The court heard that after catching up with the now deceased; Mukubika stabbed him with a knife, leading to his death.

The alleged knife was later recovered from Mukubika. Norman Koropi appeared for the State.
