The musician has been invited to the SABC Crown Gospel Awards that will be held in at the Durban International Conference Centre on Sunday.

Mahachi who leaves the country tomorrow told NewsDay he was thrilled to be part of the prime gospel music awards in South Africa.

“It is an honour really. There is nothing that I may say I have done to deserve such an honour, but I am really grateful,” he said.

Mahachi will on the day after the awards be getting into the studio with South African musician Sfiso Ncwane.

The two musicians will be working on the remix of the track Ndisiye Satani that is on Mahachi’s third album Agare.

“The single will be on my next album that is due in April,” said Mahachi.

“I am also going to be working with his label to get into an agreement that will see me marketing Sfiso’s music in Zimbabwe and him marketing mine.

“We also expect to be having joint shows in our respective countries. Sfiso is one of the biggest South African gospel musicians currently and I hope we will be touring South Africa for mega shows with him.

“South Africa is opening up more and more with their artistes expressing interest in coming to perform here so I hope this will be a good chance for both parties.”

Mahachi said the single will also come with a video that will be shot later.
