In this spirit of fashion shows, Hararians were treated to a hairstyle extravaganza at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC) on Saturday.

The Zimbabwe Afro and Sleek Hair Show kicked off to a good start as various hairstylists battled it out for the ultimate prize of being named the best hair doctor in the land.

Tourism and Hospitality Industry minister Walter Mzembi graced the event as guest of honour.

Despite the low attendance, the crowd appeared to be having a blast, screaming in response to the activities on the ramp.

The models, came in different sizes and ages showcasing various hairstyle categories.

Hairstyles ranged from formal to freaky and some of the colour codes left the crowd stunned.

The hairstylists who walked away with honours were Adiona Gatsi, who won the day look category, Yvonne Maziva won the evening look while Fortunate Mandida won the extravagant look section and the overall winner was Primrose Kazunza.

The major highlight of the night, however, came in the form of Soul Jah Love and Jah Prayzah who both thrilled fans with great performances.

Soon after the announcement of the last award, Soul Jah Love was introduced to the stage much to the delight of the crowd who immediately abandoned their seats and went haywire on the dance floor.

Dropping a couple of hits that included Handichabatika, Simudza Musoro and Zvandinomudira, Soul Jah Love got the party started. Jah Prayzah then came on and made sure the show ended with dancing and singing as he gave a thrilling performance.
