Following what many would arguably consider a quiet year for the collaborators in the hip-hop genre, Simba Tagz once again together with SA and Nigeria-based producer, Dutch are gearing up for the release of their EP titled Titans.

“In a year that saw Dutch handle more production responsibility for shaping the sound of the products he has produced, Dutch handles all of the production work for this project and Tagz handles all of the Artistry, a feat not usually seen as Tagz usually is very hands on with his music,” said Showtime Records administrative director, Simbarashe Goredema.

He said the only collaboration on the project was, however, with young blood Trk where the EP displays the collaborators’ ability to work in a concept environment and the track was a must listen.

Under the same belt singer Courtney Rusike has also finally come out with the video for her first single of the year — Finally Breathing.

The Reverb7-produced house groove sports a hypnotic and melodic beat and Courtney’s vocals fit very easily with the tranquil theme of the song. The video was shot by director Philo (Philography) and has a natural and tranquil feel to it , fitting visuals for the theme of the song.

“After a full year of Showtime releases, Showtime Records Africa artiste O-25 is back with the video for Zviri Nani ,the number 1 single off of his debut EP titled The Prelude.

The single was produced by Showtime producer Dutch and features labelmate Simba Tagz. Both artistes flow effortlessly on the hard-hitting beat and its no mistake that the song was able to chart and more so come up on no1 on local Zimbabwean charts,” said Goredema.

He added that the video has a minimalistic and “viral” feel to it and was shot by director Chris Shoca
