The concert will start with a netball and soccer tournament followed by a music concert.

The show will be marking the coming back of yesteryear musician Bybit Mtukudzi who has not been in the limelight for a long time, as the main act sharing stage with the likes of Namatai Chipanga, Shingirai Jani and The Vessels of Worship, Tendai and Selmor Mtukudzi ,among others.

Speaking to NewsDay, event organiser Lazurus Sajeni said the concert is meant to unite and cement relationships of all mainline churches in the Highfield community.

“Sport being one uniting force we decided to host a soccer and netball tournament for churches in our community that will be followed by a music concert to raise funds to give our mainline churches financial stability,” Sajeni said.

“This is the show that one should not miss as all artistes who are billed to perform are raring to go and promised sterling performances.”

Sajeni said people must come in their numbers and have fun at the show as lot has been put in place to give Bybit’s return the flair it deserves.

The show promises to be a thriller as the billed artistes are well-known for putting up sterling performances.

However, much of the attention will be on Bybit who once rocked the music industry with her several hit singles some decades ago as she makes a return to showbiz.

Bybit started her music career as a backing vocalist to brother Oliver before launching her a solo career in 1988 with a hit single Vana Munzara.

In that same year she recorded two singles, Rega Kundibayira Kucheneka and Tanga Wanamata which received fair play on all local radio stations.

In subsequent years, Bybit established herself in the music industry performing at various concerts before deciding to hang down the microphone.
