And at this stage of the season, they will not be wishing to face charging defending champions Dynamos, who are obviously looking for revenge after being humiliated 1-0 in the reverse fixture at Ascot Stadium.

As the Airforce of Zimbabwe side heads to Rufaro this Sunday to face Dynamos, they are aware that How Mine’s possible win over Chiredzi tomorrow will make things even more difficult for them.

They have 32 points, the same as How Mine, and three ahead of Shabanie Mine who are at Bantu Rovers on Saturday.

Since the formation of the Central Soccer League in 2010, only FC Platinum have managed to avoid the chop on their promotion while two of the league’s victors Hardbody and Tripple B have failed to avoid the drop.

Chapungu seemed set to be the second team to join the league of FC Platinum with a domineering home form where they have managed to avoid defeat thus far in the league, but their away form has been a bother.

The Airmen have only managed to win once in the league away from home with a 1-0 triumph over fellow combat men Black Rhinos, they have also managed to score three goals only away from home, in the win against Black Rhinos, the 2-1 loss to Chicken Inn and the 4-1 hammering in Hwange.

With five games left to play they have three away fixtures to champions Dynamos, Highlanders and How Mine, if they fail to improve on their form on the road they are assured to get nothing from those fixtures.

From the remaining two home matches they host fellow relegation candidates Bantu Rovers and they will also play an army derby against Black Rhinos in Gweru.

Dynamos lead the standings with 49 points, two better than ZPC Kariba who have a tough away encounter to FC Platinum at Mandava. Fourth placed Highlanders face Chicken Inn while Caps United are on the road to Triangle, both games on Sunday.
