President Robert Mugabe on October 28 officially opened the Second Session of the Eighth Parliament of Zimbabwe.
In attendance were First Lady Grace Mugabe who was well dressed in a striped black and white suit with matching hairpieces and Vice President Joice Mujuru who was seated next to Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Emmerson Mnangagwa.
Mugabe announced the new legislative agenda for MPs, and said there will be alignment of laws with the new constitution as well as crafting of new laws and policies, as well as setting up of a Commission of Inquiry to convert pension and insurance policy values from the now defunct local currency to United States dollars.
