Should the club fail to take further action against the coach within 14 days, the fine will be doubled, according to a judgment released by the Premier Soccer League (PSL) Disciplinary Committee yesterday.

It is alleged that after Chiredzi had failed to produce player licences, Ntini said: “It’s unfortunate that I am witnessing such things just because I am in Harare. These guys have been sitting on the bench since day one and this is shocking.

“This thing is being mishandled. Moses Chunga was here from January with the same technical team that is assisting me here and it’s only myself who was not there. If they were to bar me it would have been better, but to take the entire technical team which was here before is unfair, it’s unheard of. It means they are protecting someone and obviously that is Chunga. I don’t have a problem with authorities implementing their policies, but they should not twist their policies to favour other people. Obviously it’s the PSL I am talking about”.

Ntini was charged with contravening Order 31 of the Castle Lager PSL Rules and Regulations which reads in part: 31.1.25 thereof; “on the part of a player, official of a club, officials of the League, member of the Management Committee and a member of any Sub- Committee as the case may be, who;

31.2.16 commits any act or makes any statement, either orally or in writing, or has been responsible for conduct which is considered ungentlemanly, insulting or improper behaviour, or likely to bring the game, sponsors, any member, the league, Zifa, Caf, or Fifa into disrepute.

31. 2.17 behaves in a manner, which brings the league or any of its sponsors into disrepute or endangers the welfare of the League.”
