Dendera musician Douglas Chimbetu launches his second album Southern Letter tonight at Mbare Netball Complex. The launch is expected to be graced by the Chimbetus including Sulumani, Tryson and Allan, dancehall chanters Killer T, Tocky Vibes, Kinnah and raunchy dancer Beverly Sibanda, among other artistes.
It will be a raunchy affair tomorrow evening with dancer Zoey Sifelani performing at the venue.

Sungura maestro Alick Macheso and his Orchestra Mberikwazvo start their weekend gigs tonight with a show at Big Apple Club. The musician should be out to appease his fan base with another thriller as he bids farewell to them for a South African tour next week. He has also stopped playing tracks from his forthcoming album to avoid piracy and is likely to thrive on oldies.

Tomorrow, Alick Macheso makes the trip to Kadoma for a show at Coloursell Night Club.

The final show of the Macheso farewell will be a family show at Mega 1 Bar in Graniteside on Sunday. The show will present a challenge for Macheso as the venue is usually difficult to fill up whenever there are no local Premiership football games on the day at nearby Rufaro Stadium.

Miss Earth grand finale is on tomorrow at Bulawayo Theatre with a bevy of 14 beauties battling for the converted crown. The pageant will be held under the theme Beauties Nurturing Nature and will see the winner representing the nation at the Miss Earth World to be held in Philippines.

Amagugu International Heritage Centre in Bulawayo today hosts the inaugural hut painting contest dubbed Comba Indlu Ngobuciko — My Beautiful Home. According to the event organisers, the competition was mooted after realisation that culture and tradition of rural architecture was under threat from Western traditions that have since outgrown rural culture.
