The South Africa-based Zimbabwean designer, who makes his second show at this year’s edition of the Zimbabwean Fashion Week, will be having his show on Friday.

The fashion week runs from tonight and ends on September 28.

To be held at the Zimbabwe College of Music, the show is likely going to be a dazzler with the designer declaring he is raring to go.

Mubochwa is one of the most vibrant designers in Durban where he dresses mostly musicians and clerics.

Among his new designs, the fashion enthusiast said he would be showcasing the new kasoka designs for pastors and preachers.

Mubochwa said he was bringing the best of his collection.

“TZM Fashion House has created fashion pieces that will delight and dazzle those who will be in attendance,” Mubochwa said.

“We have interpreted the theme Afrocentrica by fusing African, Asian and Western pattern designs to produce high-quality garments that have unique blends of fabric.

“This year, we have collaborated with media, TV and radio personality Hazvinei Sakarombe, better known as DJ Chilly, as well as the versatile poet and former head of public relations for Zimbabwe Fashion Week, RuTendo DeNise.

“We are really excited with these collaborations and guarantee all in attendance a show to remember.”

He said the name change was only the first stage of the rebranding exercise.

“We hope that our current and new customers will find the name light and will continue supporting us on our new journey,” Mubochwa said.

“We envision making TZM Fashion House one of the most respected brands in the fashion industry not only in Zimbabwe but throughout the world. Our collection this year is just a glimpse of what we envision for the future.”

The Durban-based designer has dressed prominent South African musicians artistes and celebrities and has previously contributed costume and set wardrobes for popular soapies Generations and Muvhango.

TZM Fashion House will close the Friday showcase of collections for Zimbabwe Fashion Week 2014 at 8pm.
