PROMINENT human rights activist and journalist Thomas Deve is set to be buried at Warren Hills Cemetery in Harare this afternoon.

Deve succumbed to cardiac arrest at his Zimre Park home on Sunday morning. He was 52.
His son ,Takunda, said prior to his death, Deve had not shown any clear signs of ill-health except occasional complaints about chest pains.
Deve worked at several regional and local think-tanks and media houses, among them Sapes Trust, the now-defunct Zimbabwe Mirror, The Daily News, Red Fox Chase Hotel and Step Ahead Productions.
At the time of his death, he was a development consultant with Deep Roots Foundation, specialising in public relations and communications.
Meanwhile, various speakers who spoke at Deve’s memorial service in the capital yesterday described him as unwavering and sociable.
Deve is survived by his wife, Bernadette, three daughters and a son.
