The special celebrations will be observed by an Invitational Concert and Awards Night where founder, Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa, is expected to give a keynote address amidst the exciting musical extravaganza.

At the Invitational Concert and Awards Night, delegates will witness a magical evening of performances from top gospel musicians of various genres in the country, including the UFIC Choir, which was recently nominated for a Zima award.

Among the many artistes expected to perform are celebrated gospel musician Baba Manyeruke, gospel urban groover Mudiwa, gospel music diva Fungisai Zvakavapano-Mashavave, Favour hit-maker Mathias Mhere, Gospel Power, Sebastian Magacha, Leonard Zhakata, Sulu Chimbetu and many others.

Speaking during a recent Sunday service at UFIC, Makandiwa explained how the 24-hour Christian channel, Christ TV, was a unique tool for marketing the greatness of Jesus.

“Through this medium, millions of people have been reached with the message of salvation. It is a great evangelistic tool and many lives are being transformed,” he said.

The man of God further explained how Christ TV had become instrumental in spreading not only the gospel, but telling the true UFIC story.

He said with the aide of the television channel, UFIC’s vision of Building a “God Society” of all People from all nations had become a reality.

“Christ TV has become our voice. It is more than a crusade in one place and millions are being converted at once. We can also minister healing from this platform than from anywhere else,” Makandiwa said.

Following the huge attendance at Judgment Night hosted by UFIC at the National Sports Stadium in Harare earlier this year, thousands of people are expected to attend first anniversary celebrations event.

The night is an exclusive celebration meant to recognise and honour living legends of gospel music for their dedication and contribution in spreading the gospel.

“I will definitely attend the anniversary celebrations, Christ TV is the best, there is a very strong focus on the word of Jesus Christ and I watch Christ TV every single day,” said Mac Magaisa, a member of UFIC, during a live interview with Christ TV.

Another Christ TV viewer, Memory Songore, said there was no doubt that the evangelical television station had helped millions experience a victorious and purposeful life in God’s word.

“Even those who dislike Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa find his teachings difficult to dismiss and all, but impossible to ignore. He is a teacher of rare insight and expression, a prophet par excellence and a miracle worker,” she said.

According to Christ TV’s online website, the station is a 24-hour television channel founded by Prophets Emmanuel and Ruth Makandiwa.

The website site says the station is aimed at building a God society of all Nations with the mandate to take the gospel of Jesus Christ to all people.

The concert will begin at 2pm, with doors opening to general ticket holders at 12 noon.

“If you want to witness the visible manifestation of the power of God, watch Christ TV. Your life will never be the same again,” Tendai Sibanda, a Harare resident, said.
