FOLLOWING the devastating fire on September 2 at the Big Brother house in Johannesburg, M-Net and Endemol South Africa searched for a fitting house for a venue in which to produce Season 9 of the reality show.
After exploring all possible options, the team have announced that the show will go on as a venue has been found in Johannesburg and the show will begin on October 5.
“The search was concluded after exploring all possible options both locally and internationally, for a suitable venue to produce the ninth season of Africa’s biggest reality show,” said Multichoice Zimbabwe publicy officer Liz Dziva.
She said M-Net and Endemol SA were pleased to announce that Big Brother Hotshots would be officially launched on Sunday October 5 at 7pm.
Dziva added that the producers wish to thank fans far and wide for all the patience and continuous support over the past few days.
“As the countdown to the launch, fans across the continent can look forward to some pleasant surprises in true ‘Biggie’ fashion,” she said.
Last year Zimbabwe was represented by Hakeem Mandaza and Pokello Nare, who both did well despite not winning the final prize.
This year’s participants are yet to be announced.
