THE MDC-T yesterday said the body of its late acting provincial chairperson for Mashonanaland West Greenwich Ndanga was now in South Africa

THE MDC-T yesterday said the body of its late acting provincial chairperson for Mashonanaland West Greenwich Ndanga, who died last week when a six-storey building at Synagogue of All Nations Church in Nigeria collapsed, was now in South Africa where it is awaiting repatriation back home for burial.

Ndanga was one of the more than 115 congregants who died after the guesthouse at TB Joshua’s church collapsed under unclear circumstances, with the televangelist claiming sabotage.

MDC-T national organising secretary Nelson Chamisa said steps were being taken to bring Ndanga’s body home for burial.

“There was delay because of the involvement of the South African and Nigerian governments, but I am reliably informed that processes are being done to bring the body home.

“We have been in liaison with the family to facilitate the processes. The body is in South Africa and we hope for the process to be expedited so that the body comes home for burial,” Chamisa said.
