SOUTH Africa-based designer Thembani Mubochwa will be part of the forthcoming Zimbabwe Fashion Week (ZFW) that will run from September 25 to 28 at the Zimbabwe College of Music.

The founder and director of the TeezM label said yesterday he would also be showcasing the designs at the forthcoming showcase.

“I participated last year and to be honest that edition was very well organised and professional, ”Said Mubochwa.

“The organisers liked my designs and they invited to participate again this year and I am happy to take the opportunity.

“I will take the opportunity to launch some of my new luxurious designs for the elite as ZFW is probably the biggest platform for designer in Harare to showcase their works.”

The designer will recently launched his new clergy wear and has started dressing pastors in both South African and Zimbabwe among them Evangelist Sandile Mlambo and Apostolic Faith Mission Pastor Augustine Bura from Milton Park Assembly.

“Pastors and preachers love the kasoka so much and I am happy to say the ZFW will be a perfect launch pad for more designs,” Mubochwa said.

“Most of my clients say they prefer the kasoka to suits when they preach so that has made the designs very popular.”

Mubochwa said one of the best designs that he will be showcasing at the fashion extravaganza will has already caught the eye of South African gospel musician and Pastor Lungile Magwaza.

He said some of the designs at the fashion week would cost as much as $2 000 and $3 000.
