The maid who worked as a maid at the complainant’s house in Unit M, pleaded not guilty when she appeared before Chitungwiza Magistrate Musaiona Shotgame to answer to charges of aggravated indecent assault.

Circumstances surrounding the matter are that on a date not known to the prosecutor during the month of August 2013 at around 2200 hours, the 15-year-old complainant was left with the accused person together with his two younger brothers after their father — a taxi driver — had gone for work.

Prosecutor Wilson Matsika told the court that the accused told the complainant to sleep in her bed with her and he agreed. She started caressing and kissing the complainant.

The court heard that the accussed went on top of the complainant and had sex with him once with his consent. After the act the complainant fell asleep and told no-one about what had happened. Further allegations are that the accused person had sex countless other times with the complaint from that day until June this year.

The matter only came to light this month after complainant had a misunderstanding with the accused propelling him to spill the beans to his grandmother.

The complainant made a police report leading to the accussed’s arrest.
